  • At the August 14th Road to PETER PAN 2022 in KORAKUEN ~Let Your Voices Be Heard~ show in Korakuen Hall, the Right to Challenge Anytime Anywhere Battle Royale will be held. This will be the first time in 2 years that this match is taking place, so we’ll be here to break down exactly what this contract is for beginners. “What exactly is Anytime Anywhere?” And what was the drama tied into this contract?! Let’s take a look back today!

◆What exactly is the Right to Challenge Anytime Anywhere anyways!?
The wrestler holding the contract (in whatever shape or form it happens to be) can exercise their right for a KO-D Openweight title match “anytime” and “anywhere”. Even if the Champion is tired after taking a lot of damage post-match, or if he’s closing off the show, the match will take place regardless. This ruleset is extremely favourable to the holder of the contract, and a very difficult situation for the champion as he has to be aware of potential challengers at any time.

While the holder of the contract can challenge for the KO-D Openweight title at any time, if they are pinned or are submitted, thereby losing in any regular match, the rights of the contract will be moved to the person that won against the previous owner. The aim is to continue winning to protect their right to challenge and to find the most ideal timing to challenge for the belt. While they can challenge any time, they also bear risk of forfeiting the right to challenge if they lose in any regular match.

This contract will change the landscape of the KO-D Openweight title scene and the Battle Royale will be taking plac today August 14th at Korakuen Hall. Usually there’ll be 1 or more contracts in the match and there is a set time you can use it until. At this moment we do not know how many or for how long they are usable for yet. Who will be the owner of the contract after its 2 year plus sabbatical!?
